Gemini Man movie review

Last night see Gemini Man starting in Will Smith. He playing Henry Brogan is an elite assassin who becomes the target of a mysterious operative who can seemingly predict his every move. To his horror, he soon learns that the man who’s trying to kill him is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.

Have very low expectations this movie this very good action movie Will Smith credit acting very good this movie mine of slimler to me Jason Bourne meets Enemy of the State by using Tron: Legacy’s method of Codified Likeness.

Here it was a 100% digital creation of Will Smith interacting with his older self and that is carried out from start to finish for this film. The moments that really stood out was the sequence with himself interacting with his younger self at the catacombs which they showed in the trailer but when you see it in it’s entirety it looks really organic. For that sequence Will Smith had to do performance capture for that particular scene and the Weta artists really did a good job of using that as reference and then digitally replacing it with his younger Avatar.

At certain times the scenes felt jerky, felt out place where it felt forced and maybe the VFX didn’t have enough time to make the final changes.

Overall the story is about coming to grips with mortality, confronting your doppelganger
and showing crazy action sequences with the younger version hunting his older version.

When it comes to the frame rate the theater I went to had a high fps and Ang Lee had a solid advantage on how to use to his advantage. The action sequences in this film had a visceral feel, especially when it came to the long take to allow for a lot of movement through the frame towards and away from the camera. My favorite stunt sequence is the bike chase sequence and what they showed in the trailer is nothing compared to when you see it in it’s entirety. That bike chase sequence looked really cool .

This awsome movie to watch very entertaining you enjoy this movie five bowl of guacamoles is fantastic.
